One Ski Holiday a Year is Not Enough for Brits

According to recent research an increasing number of UK skiers and snowboarders are planning more than one trip to the mountains, next winter

As well as aiming to take more than one ski holiday, UK skiers and snowboarders will not be using tour operators as much while taking more independently-arranged holidays and short breaks. This is according to responses from 780 skiers to a recent survey carried out by the Ski Club of Great Britain and Mountain Trade Network.

Of the estimated 1.8m skiers in the UK, the survey indicates that the majority will now be staying in hotels rather than chalets. But despite huge intent and climate crisis warnings, few will be taking the train with only 2 percent going by rail to the Alps, last winter, compared to 6 percent pre-Covid.
