Decathlon Launches Ski Wear to Rent with Hirestreet

HIRE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Decathlon, the world’s largest international sporting goods retailer, has launched a ski and snowboard wear rental collection, in partnership with the fashion-for-hire online site, Hirestreet...The Decathlon collection that can be hired just for the holidays, consists of 18 different styles featuring ski jackets and trousers for women, ranging from sizes: 6 to 16. Starting from as little as £15 to rent for a 4-day period (RRP between £60 and £200), the collection offers a sustainable and affordable alternative to purchasing the new items, aimed at those who do not regularly ski.
The partnership is an indication of another major brand embracing the new demand for sustainability, offering an eco-alternative to buying new gear.
Accidental Damage Cover is offered to each customer upon checkout and the cost of cleaning is included in the total rental price (so there’s no need to clean the garments before they’re returned)
All items go through a rigorous cleaning process. Less than 10 percent of garments are cleaned using chemicals. The vast majority of items are cleaned using a combination of wet-washing and eco-friendly O-zone technology, which allows the garments to be sanitised at water temperatures under 35 degrees, using less heat than a standard at home wash. All items are quality-checked at several points throughout the process.
Items are delivered via DPD on the desired delivery date along with a reusable garment bag. When the items are due back, customers simply place them back in the returns bag, attach the pre-paid returns label to the front, seal the bag and drop it at the nearest Post Office
