SWISS RESORTS LINK UP TO CREATE VAST NEW AREA

When Arosa and Lenzerheide open the new double reversible ropeway in December 2013 from the Hörnli to the Urdenfürggli, in Switzerland it will create a vast combined resort area.

A new 1,694m cable car, capable of carrying 150 skiers and snowboarders per car, will connect the Hörnli of Arosa with the Urdenfürggli in Lenzerheide. In Lenzerheide, two new six-man chair lifts will be built from Heimberg to Motta and from Motta to Urdenfürggli, where you can take the new cablecar to Arosa. The two ski areas now become a winter paradise with 225 kilometres of ski slopes that the website claims is: "certain of snow, twice as many traditional alpine Hütten and record-breaking days of sun".

Arosa Lenzerheide now becomes the largest contiguous ski region in Graubünden and takes its place among the country’s top 10 ski regions.
